I Quit My Day Job - Helenas Update - When I Grow Up With my 3rd entrepreneuriversary sneaking on up me in less than 2 weeks (eek!), Im so thrilled to give ya a more recent take on ditching the (dream!) job. Helena Swyter is a creative-friendly CPA (we all need one of those, you guys) whos about to give us the good, the bad, and the ugly (and she doesnt mean taxes). On April 4, 2012, I left my former-dream job to start SweeterCPA. I was a CPA in my day job and Im still a CPA now, so the transition was not so much what I do but who I do it for. This small change has made a huge difference. Today Im sharing about the moment I realized what I was meant to do with my professional life and the best and worst parts of starting my own company. A licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with her Masters in Taxation from the University of Illinois, Helena Swyter helps people turn their passions into careers. After seven years with Deloitte, Helena formed SweeterCPA a company dedicated to providing tax, accounting, and business advisory services to creative entrepreneurs and independent small businesses.
